A New Mexican Christmas
We spent this Christmas with Beth and Steve in Taos, NM. It was a fabulous, snowy time! A great opportunity to take out all those wonderful sweaters we don't get a chance to wear here in Las Vegas!
Sadly, we didn't take many pictures. But we did take pictures of the making of ferralitos (sp?) on Christmas Day. Ferralitos are paper bags with sand and a little candle in them, and they were everywhere! It was a fun thing to do, and they really looked nice when they were all finished, glowing in the snow.
Here we are with our folded bags. One step done.
Next, we filled them with sand. As always, Lyra was so helpful.
Then, we put them outside on the path and lit them up! They looked so great! Awesome idea, Beth!
And of course, we were treated with delicious roast and drinks afterwards! Ho ho ho!

Ah, snow! Totally sweet.
I must rub my chin and ask the question: "what was in all of those brown bags prior to sand and flame?"
Hmmm...
